On Wednesday, March 2, 2024, the city of Westerlo in Belgium became the arena for an exciting sports event – an open international tournament in hand-to-hand combat. The event turned out to be massive, with the participation of over 300 athletes from European countries and even Uzbekistan. Participants of the competition demonstrated a high level of qualification and thrilling matches before a thoughtful audience.
One of the main highlights of the tournament was the international support for Ukraine expressed by representatives of international organizations. This demonstrates unity and solidarity in the world of sports even in challenging times.
In the final team standings, the team from Belgium claimed the first place, showcasing impressive results. Our Ukrainian team took a honorable second place, demonstrating great potential and professionalism. The team from the Netherlands secured the third place overall, emphasizing competitiveness and strength.
