On March 17, 2024, the extremely exciting and competitive Open Championship of the city of Kyiv in hand-to-hand combat among senior boys, boys and junior boys took place, under the slogan “We respect soldiers, prepare to defend Ukraine.” The event took place in the Track and Field Arena of the KMShVSM, at 18 Pavla Tychyna Avenue, Kyiv, gathering almost 250 participants.
Despite the difficult training and living conditions, the young athletes showed incredible perseverance and dedication to their work. Their light does not go out, and each of them works hard, stepping towards their goal.
The official opening of the competition was marked by the presence of honored guests:
– Deputy Director of the Department – Head of Sports Department, Volodymyr Vydysh.
– President of the All-Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat federation, Yury Radchenko.
– Andriy Radchenko, head of a separate unit of the FSB.
– Deputy of the Kyiv City Council, Natalia Berikashvili.
– Deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council, Halyna Yerko.
– Member of the Board of Trustees, Founder of the “GENEZA” publishing house, Oleksiy DUBAS.
The presence of famous persons emphasized the importance and significance of this sports event for the development of hand-to-hand combat in the city of Kyiv.
After completing the competition, all participants and guests were impressed by the level of training of the athletes, their enthusiasm and energy. The Open Championship became an important event for the sports community of the city and was noted for its success and high level of competition.
