On February 19, 2021, a significant event took place – a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation.
The agreement provides for mutual assistance and development of hand-to-hand combat as a service-applied and military-applied kind of sports in Ukraine. In addition, it provides for a set of measures to involve servicemen, employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and members of their families, participants in hostilities in active physical culture and sports.
As part of the signing of the agreement, Yurii Finohenov, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and Yurii Radchenko, President of the All-Ukrainian Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation, discussed the team’s participation in this year’s Hand-to-Hand Combat Tournament within the President’s Cup of Ukraine, which will take place on August 19-21 in Kyiv, as well as topical issues of joint activities aimed at the development of hand-to-hand combat, work to improve this area.
As a result of the meeting, strategic objectives were identified, an action plan and practical mechanisms for implementing cooperation were approved.
