Regular meeting of the Council of All-Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat federation was held on Thursday, April 29. President of the Federation Mr. Yurii Radchenko, First Vice-President Mr. Andrii Kmita, Vice-Presidents Mr. Ivan Derevianko, Mr. Oleh Bilko and Mr. Andrii Radchenko, Council members Mr. Valentyn Ivashchenko and Mr. Anatolii Voloshyn took part in the event.
Top topic – discussion of the organizational moments of the Cup of Ukraine and the Championship of Ukraine among juniors, the Championship of Ukraine among youth, the Cup of the President and the World Championship, participation of the National team in the World Sports Games.
So, on May 14-17 in Kyiv city in the sports complex of Piddubny Olympic College will be held the Cup of Ukraine among adults and the Championship of Ukraine among juniors. Preliminary, the competition should bring together over 500 athletes from all over Ukraine. Taking into account the epidemic situation, it is important to take into account a lot of organizational issues. In addition, on June 4 there will be the Championship of Ukraine among youth.
In addition, agreed date of one of the most prestigious and important events in the calendar of sports events of the Federation – the Cup of the President of Ukraine in hand-to-hand combat, which will be held on August 14, 2021 in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of our state. Now Federation Council is forming the organizing committee in order to hold the competition worthily. Separately they discussed the organizational issues of the World Championship, which will be held in October in Kyiv city.
Also, they decided to hold a refereeing seminar for the next competitions, according to the calendar plan of the Federation. As Mr. Yurii Radchenko said, referees are the face of the competition, so their training is essential during any competitions.
Let us recall that a short while ago the Ministry of youth and sports of Ukraine agreed the updated rules of the competition in hand-to-hand combat in new edition. Such rules provide a modern approach to the development of hand-to-hand combat as the athletic discipline.
We are actively preparing for future competitions. There is a lot of work ahead.
