On April 10 in urban-type settlement of Tomashpil, the Championship of Vinnytsia region in hand-to-hand combat among boys, juniors and girls was held. As a result of the competition were selected athletes to participate in the Championship of Ukraine in hand-to-hand combat, which will be held in Kyiv city on May 15-16.
Athletes from 6 teams took part in the competition: SC “BARS” (city of Yampil), SC “Sapsan” (city of Chechelnyk), PPCS of Pohrebyshche, SC “Leader” (city of Kalinivka), SC “Voin” (village of Klembivka) and team of the Specialized children-youth sports school “Altair” (urban-type settlement of Tomashpil).
In the team event, the first place was taken by the team of PPCS of Pohrebyshche (coach: Serhiy Khamrylo), second place was taken by the team of Specialized children-youth sports school “Altair” of urban-type settlement of Tomashpil (coach: Serhiy Vodianiuk), third place was taken by the team of SC “BARS” of city of Yampil (coach: Fedir Vodianiuk).
Competitions were held according to the calendar plan of official sports events with the observance of quarantine measurements and passing COVID tests for participants and referees.
At the opening of the competition, athletes were welcomed by the Head of the Tomashpilska village council Mr. Valerii Fedorovych Nemyrovskyi, Head of education, sports, culture and tourism department of Tomashpilska village council Mr. Ihor Ivanovych Yarosh and Director of Tomashpilska village sports school Mr. Oleksandr Mykhailovych Zhovtan.
The winners and medalists were awarded with medals, diplomas and team cups by the Department of humanitarian policy of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.
